One of the largest employers in the Swedish municipality of Ånge turned 40 in 2012!
The company was originally set up as a joint venture between an Italian company and a Swedish industrial group. The company has developed strongly over the years and today nearly 150 employees work to provide customers in the international chemical and offshore sectors with advanced products based on its expertise in surface processing and treatment of materials that are durable in tough environments.
“We have many employees who have been with us for a large part of those 40 years and I enjoyed hearing stories from various periods of our history. Our employees, with their combined expertise, are our greatest asset and it is my hope that we will continue to be an attractive employer, able to recruit competent employees both to our own operations and to the municipality of Ånge in general,” says Managing Director Fredrik Herlitz.
Forty years ago, an engineering company opened in Ljungaverk, with four employees in the office and five in the workshop. One of them was Åke Säterberg. He was 18 at the time and is now the employee who has been with the company the longest. Kent Jönsson, to the left in the picture, has “only” been with the company for 38 years.
